In 1985, in Hill Valley, California, Marty McFly visits the home - laboratory of his friend Emmett "Doc" Brown, an eccentric scientist. At school, Marty meets her girlfriend, Jennifer and tells her that she fears that she will become like her parents. Then Marty meets Doc in a parking lot in a shopping center and Doc reveals that he built a time machine with a modified DeLorean and powered by the plutonium obtained by Libyan terrorists with the promise of building a nuclear bomb. Doc sets the date on November 5, 1955, the day he conceived a time travel device, but the terrorists unexpectedly arrive and open fire on them, finally shooting Doc. Marty climbs DeLorean and escapes, but inadvertently activates the time travel process. So Marty finds himself transported until November 5, 1955 alone and without any plutonium to go back...
